Retirees of Rizal Provincial Government (RPG) held their Financial Literacy Talk last August 23, 2012, Wednesday at Ynares Complex in Antipolo City, in cooperation with Smart Communications’ Community Care and Registered Financial Planners Philippines. The first session participated by 50 participants, was led by Ms. Jennifer Gan, a registered financial planner. Likewise, the second session with 45 participants was led by Mr. Alvin Tabañag, which is also a registered financial planner; both speakers talked about practical money management and planning for a comfortable retirement. Specific topics included are the meaning of true wealth and how it can be achieved, the importance of saving, and how to manage expenses. Common retirement mistakes were discussed as well as the tips on how to make savings for retirement.
